The Watchdog’s Editor Luke LeBrun recently appeared on CBC Radio’ Day 6 to discuss the mysterious case of a fake AI-generated journalist who was published by several Canadian media outlets.
“It appears we have a bit of a Canadian media mystery story here,” LeBrun told Day 6 host Brent Bambury.
“I do think it is a bit ironic because for years, journalists have been warning the public about the disinformation and deep fakes and the emerging threat of AI, but as this story shows, AI is now duping journalists too it seems.”
